In this interview, Mikael Thuneberg, founder of Supermetrics and entrepreneur Ben Narasin discuss the pros and cons of bootstrapping vs VC investments. In Thuneberg’s experience, bootstrapping worked very well as it enabled him to focus on building his product instead of spending a lot of time fundraising. When he decided to start fundraising, he found out that the additional funds gave his company a real boost and he could scale up much faster. In Thuneberg’s case, high profit margin and a huge client base including well-known global players were the key metrics that convinced VC investors.
